Lunch Hub

Lunch Hub is a free two course, sit down community lunch on Mondays at the Lake Macquarie PCYC. The lunch is prepared by a great team of volunteers. The meal is open to all however, we encourage people and families who are experiencing loneliness or isolation, homelessness, domestic violence issues, financial or other hardship to come along.

We like to support families and single parents with young children to join us. The lunch is family friendly and we provide a small kids corner (for under 5’s). Please note: Any guests under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult, or, have a parent or guardian sign a consent form to come along.

Women's Shed on the Lake

Women Shed on the Lake (WSOL) is an inclusive group for women of all ages. WSOL is run by a group of dedicated local volunteers.

We invite women to come along to enjoy friendship, workshops, activities, support and encouragement, and of course, a cuppa and a chat!

WSOL meet on Fridays at 9:00am to 12:00 noon at the Warners Bay Baptist Church Hall. We encourage a small donation to help cover costs.

Food Share Program

The Food Share program provides free food hampers to vulnerable families and individuals via Oz Harvest and donations. These hampers are collected from Lake Macquarie PCYC on Mondays.

Young Parents Group

The Young Parents Group (YPG) is a free supported playgroup for parents who are in their teens and early 20’s and their children, to meet, play, make friends and share information. The YPG runs every Friday at 12:30pm to 1:30pm in the school term at The Place in Charlestown.

This group is partnered with The Place, The Family Action Centre, and Lake Macquarie City Council.

Sister Talk

Sister Talk is a free and inclusive social group for women with an emphasis on mothers. The group operates fortnightly on Fridays at Hopestreet BaptistCare in Windale at 10am to 12pm. Children under 5 are welcome.

Activities include craft, cooking, art therapy, training, and presentations from external services. Morning tea is also provided.

Computer & Resume Kiosk

This program is targeted at fostering employment opportunities for young people and adults by providing computer and/or resume support. This service is conducted via appointments ONLY, please contact the office for further information.
