Come and join our Garden Group! Open to anyone! – experienced and new gardeners as well as people who have a passion for the outdoors and meeting people.

This is an exciting way to;
· meet new people with a similar interest
· provide great opportunities to share ideas & tips
· assist with maintaining our local Vegetable Garden (which provides produce for our Food and Info Hub & families of Boolaroo School) and the NEW local Sensory Garden!
· socialise, have a cuppa together and learn together!

Our Community Place will provide a venue and refreshments for get-togethers.

Contact us to register your interest.

Women Shed on the Lake is an inclusive group for women of all ages. We invite women to come along to enjoy friendship, workshops, activities, support & encouragement and or course a cuppa and a chat! Babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are welcome too!

Women’s Shed on the Lake meets on Fridays usually from 9.30am to 11.30am. See Activity program for full details. We encourage a fee of  $3.00 per week to help cover our costs (eg. hall hire, resources etc.)

We are privileged to have experienced women looking after babies and toddlers during the Shed meeting time. The children are entertained with games, books and simple craft! So, let your friends/ family with children know…

Kids Garden Club is held at Boolaroo Public School and is run by a few of our volunteers from our Garden Group. The children learn about gardening, the environment and sustainability. The program includes ‘hands on’ activities outside in the gardens and the school playgrounds. All volunteers have a current Working with Children Check.

Food and Info Hub is run weekly by Our Community Place Inc. in partnership with Church 4 Life, OzHarvest and Coles Second Bite which provide food for individuals and families from Boolaroo and surrounding suburbs who are struggling financially.

To register and get assistance please contact Our Community Place on 4958 7251. Please bring your current Centrelink card and a recent Centrelink statement of income to your appointment.

You are welcome to donate to our Food and Info Hub. We are in need of more food to supplement the donations we receive from OzHarvest and Coles Second Bite. In particular we need ‘in date’ milk (long life only) and eggs. If you would like to donate please contact Our Community Place on 4958 7251.
